Garlic Butter Herb Rib Roast Rub

Prep Time: 5 Minutes


  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 Tablespoon thyme, finely chopped

  • 1 Tablespoon oregano, finely chopped

  • 1 Tablespoon rosemary, finely chopped

  • 1 Tablespoon salt


  1. In a small bowl mix butter, garlic, thyme, oregano, rosemary, salt and pepper.

  2. Rub all of the butter on the outside of your prime rib and plave in a roasting pan or large skillet with the fat side up.

  3. After your roast is cooked to your desired meat temperature. Take the roast out of the roasting pan and let rest under foil for 10 to 20 minutes.

  4. Put the roasting pan on the cook-top at a medium high heat. Stir in 1 Tbs of flour a little at a time until the mixture thickens to a sauce consultancy.

  5. Serve on the side as a dipping sauce for your Rib Roast.  Enjoy!
